GDPR

General Data Protection Regulation

GDPR is the acronym for General Data Protection Regulation.

The General Data Protection Regulation is a framework for privacy protection and preservation as it relates to digital forms of data. Instated by legislation on May 25, 2018, The GDPR is European Law and does not affect business operations of companies outside of Europe.

Many opposing views have been had on it, where so many as every 1-in-5 businesses (affected by it) deem the GDPR too complex and impossible to comply with. Even Google has already paid a fine of over $50,000,000 for non-compliance. On the other side of the argument we have regular end consumers, who feel more protected with the presence of the GDPR framework.
