DAG

Directed Acyclic Graph

DAG is the acronym for Directed Acyclic Graph.

A Directed Acyclic Graph is a model used for the structuring of data. It works by mapping recent activity by to the most recent vertices. DAG’s can only progress and are subject to the same primitives of immutability that blockchain data is. Directed Acyclic Graphs hold the promise of competing against (and possibly entirely replacing) traditional blockchain data structures by offering theoretically infinite throughput and scalability.
