BFT

Byzantine Fault Tolerance

BFT is an acronym that stands for Byzantine-Fault-Tolerance

Byzantine-Fault-Tolerance is a property of a distributed system that makes the system resistant to partial failures. Therefore, a BFT system can continue operating even in the event that some of its participating actors seize operating normally.

BFT systems are specifically designed to deal with a classification of issues known as “Byzantine General’s Problem”.

There are multiple implementations of Byzantine Fault Tolerance Systems,  such as pBFT, lBFT, Q/U, Zyzzyva and so on.
