Brute Force Attack

BFA is an acronym that stands for Brute-Force-Attack

A Brute-Force-Attack is from of a cryptographic cyber-attack where a computer exhausts every possible option in order to figure out the answer. A highly reliable form of hacking that is guaranteed to break a system in which there are a limited amount of options.

Models where a BFA attack is supremely effective include:
Dictionary Attack (exhausting every possible known word in a language)
Weak Numeric Hash Attack (systems that use outdated Hashing algorithms can typically be broken within minutes)
Reverse Attack (selecting a common password such as “password” and cycling through usernames until an account opens.)
