Within the crypto industry, the Term “Block-height” is used to refer to the “DEPTH’ of the most current block being mined represented as a positive number.
Simply stated, it is the number of blocks in a chain.
As an example, we can take the Bitcoin blockchain, where every 10 minutes a new block is appended to the chain. If at 2:30 pm the Bitcoin block height is 333,333 then at 2:40 pm, the block height will become 333,334.
