A Block Explorer is a tool used by participants of the cryptocurrency economy to view network statistics and transactional activity taking place on a chain.
An explorer can be thought of as a browser that looks deep into a crypto network for statistics on the network itself as well as the blocks in it. Each block can be individually unpackaged to uncover pseudonymous meta-data about transactions & accounts, such as:
– Time
– Transaction size
– Network HashRate
– Involved addresses
– Block height
– Network fees
